We are glad to present this 10th volume of the institute’s journal, Savijñānam – Scientific Exploration for a Spiritual paradigm, which was launched in 2002 by Dr. T. D. Singh, the Founder Director of Bhaktivedanta Institute. Directed by his transcendental vision and desire, and enthused by your interest, we have kept striving to present to you the best wisdom as expounded by thoughtful and brilliant scientists, leaders, spiritualists and other notable thinkers from around the world. With this 10th edition, we have achieved a major milestone and we wish to celebrate it with all of your wishes. This volume is a tribute to our dear friends Prof. Subhash Chandra Mishra and Prof. Sudipto Ghosh. Prof. Mishra was a professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and Prof. Sudipto Ghosh was professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. We highly appreciate with fond memories, their services rendered to carry forward the vision of Dr. T. D. Singh.

This volume is filled with thoughts from great minds and thinkers. The first article in this volume for instance, talks about the subtleties of mathematics. This article is essentially a dialogue between our revered Sri. K. Vasudeva Rao, President, Bhaktivedanta Institute, and Enrico Bomberie, Professor (Emeritus), Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. A renowned mathematician who was awarded the Fields Medal in 1974 for his brilliant work in Number Theory, he takes us through the history of Mathematics in a humorous, informative, elaborate, and hence a very thrilling ride. Marvelling at many eminent Mathematicians and their work, he fills the minds of the interviewers, and hence the readers, with great appreciation for Mathematics. It is impossible to escape the charm of Mathematics and its deeper implications, especially when extolled by him. Enrico addresses the question on Mathematics and its linkage with Reality in a very astounding style.
